Born and raised in Albuquerque, NM, Elisabeth Serna, LPCC, is a proud Hispanic provider with deep family roots spanning over ten generations in New Mexico. As a mother and clinician, she brings warmth, empathy, and cultural understanding into every session, holding space for healing with a presence-focused, compassionate approach.
Elisabeth specializes in trauma treatment, particularly in helping individuals navigate and recover from PTSD. She is trained in evidence-based practices including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC)-approaches that empower clients to reclaim their narratives and build emotional resilience.
With experience treating a wide range of mental health concerns, Elisabeth supports clients facing generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, panic disorder, major depressive disorder, and more. Her inclusive, affirming practice is grounded in cultural competence and advocacy for LGBTQ+ individuals and underserved communities.
In addition to trauma work, Elisabeth is passionate about supporting clients through fertility challenges, women’s mental health, and life transitions, always with the belief that healing is possible-and begins by being present in the now.
