Acceptance Counseling of New Mexico
Located in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, we believe that healing comes from an internal strength that we already possess and our trials have led us to where we are today.
Seeking to Find the Best Version Of Ourselves.
We are here to support you in anyway possible. We understand that the first step may be the hardest. Call us today and we will help you take the next step in your journey.
We now offer Telemental Health Therapy Sessions! You may meet with your therapist over our secure video link. We offer stress free, easy to use video visits that can be used anywhere private and on any device.
New Group! Parents/Guardians of Teen and/or Preteen Boys
We will be starting a group soon! This is a parenting group for parents/guardians of teenage and/or preteen boys.
It would be a combination of a support group, discussion, and psychoeducation. The therapist would be supplying articles or videos for participants to watch prior to the group to then discuss during the group session.
Theme: Parenting teenage boys in a pandemic. Our teenage boys are seeing an increase in anxiety and depression, which is also resulting in maladaptive coping strategies and that challenges parents on how best to support them with their particular needs.
Group Size: 10-12 participants. This will be a closed group.
*Prior to the start date of the group, all individuals will be screened for appropriateness to enter the group.
Dates and Times:
