I believe in the human capacity for resilience. Despite the challenges that you may be facing, having space to process from your authenticity and spirit can provide a platform for your transformation. These challenges in life come in many forms from behaviors to symptoms and are often stigmatized. I work with each client from a holistic standpoint hoping to provide compassion and non-judgment around the process of therapy. I foster this within my sessions using a collaborative, client-centered process to meet you where you are.
Art therapy has the potential to carry people through transformative and challenging times. I also enjoy utilizing a creative arts therapy perspective which can give space for internal reflection that can visually allow one to witness what is happening within. Art can also be a mindfulness practice and an avenue for self-expression that can assist in healing.
I also utilize psychoeducation, mindfulness and skills-based approaches such as DBT and Seeking Safety. I enjoy working with Substance abuse recovery and a co-occurring disorder, (including nicotine and process addiction), depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma, TBI, intellectual and developmental disorders, and LGBTQI+.
