Our practice is committed to training the next generation of mental health professionals. These interns are advanced graduate students who have completed most or all of their core coursework and are in the clinical phase of their training. They provide counseling services under the close supervision of a licensed clinician.
Interns bring fresh perspectives and up‑to‑date knowledge, while benefiting from ongoing guidance, case consultation, and oversight to ensure high-quality, ethical care. If you choose to work with an intern, you will receive the same level of respect, confidentiality, and support, with the added benefit of having both your intern and their supervisor invested in your well-being.
Christina Cavaleri, MSW Intern
I am a pre-licensed therapist and intern with a background in law and a deep commitment to creative, embodied healing. I believe therapy can be both grounded and adventurous — a space where insight is paired with movement, story, and lived experience.
I specialize in working with teens and adults navigating neurodivergence, life transitions, identity shifts, burnout, and integration of profound or transformative experiences. My approach integrates narrative therapy, somatic awareness, expressive arts, and experiential practices such as walking sessions, movement-based interventions, and creative storytelling. I draw on trauma-informed care and strengths-based frameworks to support clients in building resilience, clarity, and self-trust.
Supervisor: Kathryn Fehr, LCSW
Adam Yildiz, MSW Intern
As second-year Master of Social Work student at New Mexico Highlands University. Adam brings diverse professional experience from his work in Long Term Care Coordination, the Refugee and Immigrant Wellbeing Project, and the New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department (CYFD), where he provided wraparound services to children and families navigating complex systems. These roles strengthened his ability to approach clients with cultural humility, systems awareness, and a trauma-informed lens.
In his clinical training, Adam integrates evidence-based approaches including Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. He works collaboratively with clients experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, and anger-related concerns, focusing on building insight, strengthening coping skills, and fostering sustainable change. Adam values creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward their goals.
